At Georgeana Studio, we believe that art is a powerful bridge between culture, community, and contemporary living. Rooted in a passion for curating meaningful, thought-provoking work, we represent emerging and established artists who embody authenticity and innovation. Our collaboration with Lido House in Newport Beach, CA, brought this mission to life through a carefully curated collection that seamlessly blended coastal sophistication with bold, modern expression. As part of this project, we proudly featured sculptural works by Dakota Pratt, known for his vibrant, tactile pieces crafted from vintage bottle caps and hand-carved wood. His work added a dynamic, playful energy to the space—inviting guests to engage with texture, nostalgia, and craftsmanship in truly unique ways.
Dakota Pratt is an award-winning, emerging artist whose found-object, process artworks are truly original. Collecting bottlecaps from restaurants and bar owners, who know and collect his works, Pratt flattens them with a sledge-hammer, then nailing them in fish-scale patterns to his carpentered forms underneath. The care with which he arranges color details, and shapes and forms his wood substrates are hard-won dimensions of true finesse, combining to make these works marvels of ‘engineering’ as well as of style and technique. Finally Pratt epoxies his sculptures’ surfaces, so they are knick- and waterproof, even withstanding outdoor installation.
